Jesus... end of story

I'm feeling a definite chill in the air. Yes, it's because I'm in Manitoba, but that's not the only reason. I just recently watched "Santa Clause 3" - the Christmas movie with Tim Allen and Martin Short. A good movie with a good point. I'll try not to ruin it for those who haven't seen it yet. But the idea is that Martin Short plays Jack Frost who is tired of the way Christmas is run by Santa (Tim Allen) and tries to take over Christmas and make it all about the money. Sadly, this isn't too far from the truth. There's a chill in the air! "Jack Frost" has already taken over Christmas in a number of ways. With all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season we all find ourselves being overwhelmed with parties and decorations and dinners and food and all the things that are nice, but really what is the real reason we celebrate Christmas? Jesus... end of story. I actually encountered a person who had never ever heard the nativity story... ever! What does that say about the world we live in? Do you sometimes forget that it's really not about us? I know I do. It's time to focus and tell those people who maybe have never heard it before. Jesus... tell the story.
Blessings!
